*The Girls Loft Part 2*

hi, happy weekend eve!

my scrap desk is FULL of things to finish up...
(which is the only way I'd have it..I LOVE being busy!)

so I thought I'd make this a short & sweet post by
sharing my last 2 September Girls Loft projects:

with a few flower closeups:

my flowers were made using the doilies & book paper that came in the kit.
along with a TON of Shimmerz.  I made my leaves out of the crepe paper
in the kit. This kit is so pretty!! I love the shabby/modern feel.

and let me finish by reminding you all about the
Paper Girls LIVE Paper Talk on Tuesday, Oct. 5 @ 12:30 pm.
(live shows every first Tuesday of the month)

we'll be talking about journaling...
just click on the picture, it should take you right there!
(if not, there's a link on the right...)

have a lovely day,

*A little Girls Loft September Project & a greeting...*

hi everyone..happy britney glee day to you.
so can't wait.

before i get all cozy & comfy in my huge chair to watch...
here's a little september The Girls Loft project I wanted to share with you...
celebrating a very special guy in my life:

this album is FULL of paint, ink & of course Shimmerz.
My fave color right now:
Shimmerz Vibez -- in...Jeni B Bleu
I also used Hot Fudge Vibez, as well as Penny Pincher Vibez

my hubby raced in the Senior Olympics Time Trials, came in first
in his age division and proud of him.
State is next month in Houston...woot!

& a little something I made for my sister's birthday tomorrow:
(good thing she doesn't read here, she'd see it too soon, hee hee.)

am I the only one that uses more than one kit together?
I took the bird (and the button) from the Jenni B kit & traced it on denim.
the cardstock & paper are from a Studio Calico kit
the ribbon is of course...American Crafts (my FAVE ribbon of all time)

here's the inside greeting:

and a few closeups:

thanks for taking a peek...
hope you enjoy some brit & brit on glee tonight....

*Happy Tuesday Challenge*

Tuesday brings lots of fun things....
new movies...
new iTunes (apps, music, movies...)
new tv shows...and....

a challenge.

and not just any challenge
today is my tuesday to challenge you over @ For The Luv Of Art .
it's just a simple "use paint" challenge.
like I did above. VERY simple. VERY easy. VERY fun to do.
nothing out of the ordinary...

I just used a tp roll as my guide, painting it brown, then laying it on
the pink cardstock.
next I used Shimmerz  Vibez (Pop Art Pink) and misted through the tube
(which made it circular, not ALL over the page. LOVE that)
next I painted the bottom of a can (see the 'go green' pattern?)
pink and placed it on the brown cardstock:

and used my ruler to draw lines
to journal on.
easy, breezy....

I also used paint on this layout:

I painted kraft cardstock (which was actually a mess!)
and punched butterflies from the painted cardstock.
I also painted my butterfly borders, the photo,
the edges of the cardstock and even the tips of the flowers.
again...easy breezy.
I loved using store product this month from For The Luv of Art.
My Minds Eye's new Lost & Found line.
To see more of the challenge and participate,
simply check out the boards:  FTLOA Challenge Board
and don't forget the FTLOA Blog...
(also, be sure to check out the Gallery to see all the beautiful inspiration)

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!
Now...don't be shy, say hi!
Have a lovely day...
