*It's Sketch Thursday*

with Elle's Studio!

I love sketches. When other people do them.
No lie...
If you know know I'm scared to death of sketches.
I'm serious! I get so nervous when I see a sketch.
All because I'm so afraid I won't be able to do a sketch justice.
I won't do what I'm supposed to, it just won't look right.

But I love them. For me, it's ME stepping out of my box
& creating...with a little push I guess you could say.

With that being said...
Today I give you today's Thursday Sketch at Elle's Studio:

and my take on the sketch:

I have to was alot of fun to create this layout!

My background is a piece of wood veneer made by Creative Imaginations.
The flowers are old school Scenic Route

The ribbon is a gorgeous ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby
& my letters are my faves ever by American Crafts.

I used the following Elle's Studio products:
Handmade Layers Love Notes, Handmade Layers Circles,
Everyday Tiny Tags and Vintage Mix & Match Numbers.

I hope you've enjoyed today's Sketch Thursday!

If you'd like to complete this sketch be sure to post
a link to YOUR creation on Elle's Blog to win a gift certificate!

*American Crafts July plus a WINNER!*

hi everyone!
happy Tuesday to you...

today I wanted to share my July American Crafts creations:

first up we have this whimsical card:

I was inspired by one of my talented, sweet friends
(and fellow DT member!) Jen Gallacher 's super cute butterflies
with tiny bobbins in the center.
You can see Jen's butterflies here <---------------

a little closer:

here's another card I did:

and  a couple of layouts:

(photography by: eight18 photography)
I mixed my city boy with the Campy line -
love how it works with anything!

tag cluster closer:

and remember that old song that had something to do about
promising a rose garden? It's way before my time (I think? LOL)
but for some reason, the words just popped in my head as I started
scrapping these rose photo's I took in the Rose Garden
in the Fort Worth Botanican Gardens:
a little closer:

I wrote the words "he always promised me" all the way around the photo's..

well that's it for my July AC creations! about a winner from the Echo Park post below!

I started my new exercise program and I was MUSH all day...forgive  me)

*CHA is SO Close*

and the sneaks are pouring in like crazy!
I love this time of year...seeing new product & drooling over it all.

It's my first time in a couple of years to get to create some things
for CHA - I almost forgot how CRAZY it is getting things made & sending
off in time for the show.
I secretly, BOLDLY love it.
I LIVE for deadlines. I love the adrenaline.
My mojo thrives on it.

Enough of about a sneak or 2?

It's time for me to share some Prima with you!
Here's Romantique:

I'm sucker for BOLD rich colors - this is what Romantique is all about!
It draws you right in...ahhhhhhh

and let me introduce you to Printery:

love all the black/cream..right up my alley.

I've had the best time sitting and creating non stop!
Which is why I've been a HORRIBLE blogger lately....

I'll be back tomorrow with another sneak or 2...
